Idt High Definition Audio Codec Driver
Just stating that I do not have a problem anymore, I had this problem and solved it. I am giving a SOLUTION to the problem so the people who come across this issue can find the answer much easier.
IDT High definition Codec (Windows 8.1/Windows 10) At this time audio is causing issues/isn't working. Previously pre-registered for Windows 10 (which I installed last night). The package provides the installation files for IDT High Definition Audio Driver version 6.10.6504.0. If the driver is already installed on your system, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix various issues, add new functions, or just upgrade to the available version. IDT High-Definition Audio Driver This package provides the driver for the IDT 92HD93 High-Definition Audio Codec and is supported on Latitude E series, Precision M series and OptiPlex XE 2 that are running on Windows Operating system: XP, VISTA, Windows 7 and Windows 8. But after installing my IDT High Definition Audio CODEC stopped working and every application using sound output seized to work. Was able to get basic windows explorer and internet explorer by disabling all windows sounds. Corrupted or Missing Driver - Code 39: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. I was installing Windows XP Professional on a Dell Dimension E310 for a customer of mine. After the OS was installed, I started to install the drivers..chipset, network, video, audio..etc. After I was finished, the only thing that had a yellow ! at the end of it was 'IDT High Definition Audio CODEC'
I tried looking up the CODEC and found it off CNET's web site. I downloaded it and installed it. It seemed like it was going to install and it went pretty far into the driver install then I got a
'Cannot Setup this Device. Code 10' error message.
I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I tried looking up this code and NOBODY had a SOLUTION to the problem. After an hour with messing around with this, I went into the driver details and found the driver I was looking for.

Once I installed that, it worked. It came up as Sigmatel High Definition CODEC instead of IDT High Definition Auidio CODEC.
So since my problem is solved, I am making this post so if someone else is having the same problem, they can just download the driver above and it will solve their problem. Thanks!
